More Action Needed
After protests by people from all over the world calling for an end to the humanitarian crisis and bloodshed in Gaza, Palestine, more global action from people will be needed yet again to clean up the current situation and help the people rebuild their lives.Charity donations, volunteer work, pressure upon governments, resource mobilization, information exchange, prayers and other forms of positive human action will be required for the massive challenge of moving Gaza forward, out of its current predicament:
- ending the current military action indiscriminately killing civilians especially children
- getting an acceptable, locally and internationally recognised and monitored security arrangement for that region
- taking down the 'Gaza Wall' and ending the blockade
- providing food, shelter, clothing, clean water, electricity and other basic necessities for the Gaza populace and Palestinians
- providing ambulances, incubators for babies, textbooks, computers and so on
- rebuilding damaged homes, mosques, schools, hospitals and other infrastructure
- clearing away hazardous or toxic residue and dangerous material (like unexploded bombs if any) left from these intensive military strikes
- preservation of the people's local, religious and cultural identity and dignity
- getting internationally secured travel and visits to that region to learn more about the people there and they get to learn about others
- sponsoring orphans and aiding traumatized families
- boosting already exisiting and respected local or religious or cultural laws on such matters as prevention of infighting and schisms amongst local groups to the detriment of innocent people; agreements on security for aid workers and volunteers; prevention of misuse of rebuilding funds; etc.
- encouraging improved knowledge and understanding between people in Gaza, in Palestine and the rest of the world
Quite a number long-term tasks to be achieved, but with positive human determination, anything is possible, God-willing.
Prayers, patience and perserverance will be needed from everyone.
Do whatever good you can for Gaza and the world.
